Rules is Rules
As the club has grown over the last few years, so has the need for the club to be run even more professionally. As part of this, we'll be introducing club rules in 2010 for the first time. Most are standard fishery rules but are now to be more rigidly enforced rather than by gentlemanly agreement. The rules for the individual fisheries will also apply. If you have anymore questions or queries please email info@drnrac.co.uk.

-
The club shall be known as Dudley rod 'n' reel angling club.
-
In paying a membership fee and joining DRNRAC each member accepts the club rules.
-
Each member should be fully paid up and in possession of a national rod licence.
-
The recommended duration of a match will be five hours, unless other instructions have been detailed or agreed beforehand.
-
The peg draw will commence at the allotted time given by the secretary for each individual match and shall be notified on the venue fact sheet. Any angler failing to arrive on time for the peg draw forfeits his right to a draw and will be left with what is left for him.
-
The club will fish using 2 sections, each section will then have points awarded to competitors from 1 point for a win down to 10 points for a final placing, Non show or empty net. These points will then transfer to the league table where a running total of all matches will be shown.
-
All matches to count throughout the season for the final league standing and the angler with the lowest points tally will be the club champion, in the event of a tied placing weight will be the deciding factor.
-
Each match will be started and finished by a whistle or other means of communication with anglers. One timekeeper of whom there will only be one will conduct this.
-
Each angler is entitled to fish half way between himself and the angler to his right and left with a space of one metre and up to half the waters width in the case of fishing both banks of a water. If neither angler can come to an agreement then the club captain and vice captain are to be notified ASAP and they will decide on the swims of the individual anglers.
-
Each angler is to provide his/her own bait and no bait is to be transferred between anglers once the match has started and the all in signal given.
-
Each competitor shall have in use (touching the water) only one rod/pole with a single line and a single hook attached at any one time. However he may have as many rods or pole kits set up on the bank as he feels he needs.
-
Each venue will provide its own set of rules; any angler found to be in breach of those rules will be dismissed from membership of the club with immediate effect if a satisfactory reason can not be given as to why they broke the rules. This will also stand if the club are issued with a fishery ban because of an individual.
-
If anglers are playing a fish at the all out signal then they must make a club official aware of this fact, the said club official will then allow the angler 15 minutes to net and un hook the fish. If the fish is not in the anglers keep net at the 15 minute mark then the angler is deemed to have run out of time and the fish must be returned to the water and NOT put in the keep net for weighing.
-
In the event of any dispute the committee will meet and their decision will be final, the chairman having the casting vote if needed.
-
A competitor must strike, play and land their own fish within the confines of their designated peg.
-
Any competitor withdrawing from a match must not give any equipment or unused bait to any other competitor whilst the match is still ongoing.
-
It is every angler’s responsibility to make sure their peg is left clean and tidy at the end of a match and that all rubbish is removed and taken away.
-
All fish caught must be weighed in.
